Are you looking for a robotic vacuum to keep your house clean and stay on top of the seemingly endless amount of dog hair?
As you can probably imagine, with two Alaskan Klee Kai dogs and a toddler, our floors feel like they’re perpetually dirty. I was vacuuming with your Dyson every evening.
We’ve tried a number of robotic vacuums, including numerous iterations of the iRobot and an Eufy model. They all did a decent job, but we were ultimately disappointed with their performance, so we gave them to family members.
Yasmin completed her research at the start of the year to find a permanent solution to our robotic vacuuming needs. Enter the Roborock Qrevo Master.
This is my first review of a robotic vacuum on the website. I’ll be sharing my pros and cons from the perspective of a dog owner and father of a toddler. It won’t be overly technical, but hopefully, it will be useful.
Roborock QRevo Master Pros
Gets a hairy job done

This is the best robotic vacuum we’ve used for cleaning up dog hair. It consistently gets the job done. The only time it’s ineffective is when we forget to change the bag in the home base, the filter in the vacuum, or it’s hoovered a rogue hair tie by mistake. I’ve been blown away by how thoroughly it collects dog hair. You can select the suction power if you want to extend the battery’s lifespan. But we opt for the second-highest setting because we’ve got Klee Kai!
Room selection
The Roborock app is easy to use. Once you’re in the app, and you’re Roborock vacuum has completed its first run, you’ll see a map of your home with the rooms segmented. It’ll improve mapping steadily over time. I love being able to select specific rooms to be vacuumed. Copper and Skye don’t go into our bedroom, our daughter’s bedroom, or the laundry room much. So I usually select the busiest areas of the home, such as the kitchen, living room and dining area. It’s handy because we don’t always have time to do a sweep of the floor, picking up socks, kids’ toys, hair ties or bath mats.
Mops the floor, too!
Not only does the QRevo vacuum the floor, but it also mops the floor. We use this feature once a week. The mop heads are easy to attach and detach. It’s easy to program the robotic vacuum to clean the floors using the mop through the app. We haven’t purchased the Roborock floor soap, but instead use water. It does a good job.
Sensors
While we have encountered some issues with hair ties and laptop chargers, the sensors are generally excellent for the most part. The Roborock QRevo is great at avoiding objects, such as dog toys. No matter how many times I put Copper and Skye’s toys away, they mysteriously make their way back to the floor. Fortunately, the Roborock avoids them!
Customer satisfaction
We’re satisfied customers, and it has good reviews online. We’re impressed with its performance over the past six months. It’s easily one of the best purchases we’ve made in recent memory, and it serves a valuable purpose every day.
Roborock QRevo Master Cons

Price
Robotic vacuums aren’t cheap. The Roborock Qrevo is no different. We paid just under $1,000 with a discount. That’s a significant amount of money to spend. However, pet owners with dogs or cats that shed a lot, like us, will likely appreciate the craziness of pet hair everywhere. The QRevo has helped a lot. It’s been a great investment, as our floors feel cleaner and the house feels more relaxing as a result (if only it could also clean furniture and clothes!).
Blockages
Of all the robotic vacuums we’ve purchased, this one works the best. It’s also the best at avoiding objects on the floor. However, it still does fall foul of my toddler’s hair ties now and then. Fortunately, it’s not too difficult to remove the brush heads and remove the offending object. But it’s not perfect.
Dustbin
The only other noticeable con has been the dustbin. It picks up a lot of dog hair, which is great. However, the dustbin appears to fill quite quickly. When I’ve removed the cover to check the dustbin bag, it’s only two-thirds or three-quarters full. The hair is poking out of the bag despite this. It seems like it could have been located and could work more efficiently.
Is It Worth It?
Simply put, yes. It’s been the best robotic vacuum we’ve ever purchased for use in our home with Copper and Skye. Although it has a hefty price tag, we’re very satisfied with the performance.
Wrapping Up

We’ve reached the end of our article highlighting the pros and cons of the Roborock QRevo master.
We recommend this robotic vacuum for pet owners with cats or dogs that shed a lot.
The QRevo has taken a load off our shoulders when it comes to cleaning, which has been the biggest pro!
