We’ve been wanting to add a multivitamin to Copper and Skye’s daily regimen, and jumped at the chance to review Dog Is Human.

I’ve got 10 years of experience reviewing pet products, and Dog Is Human is a relatively new brand in the dog supplement marketplace.

Some pros include multiple flavors, ingredients such as glucosamine and MSM, and the option to order their supplements directly through Amazon.

However, their supplement isn’t a quick fix, and you’ll need to be patient to see results. Their supplement falls into the premium price category.

So with the introduction out of the way, let’s get started.

Well-rounded daily formula

Dog Is Human has formulated a well-rounded daily supplement. It is designed to support several areas related to your dog’s health.

These areas include hip and joint, immunity, digestion, skin and coat, and heart health. These are five areas we want to support with our Klee Kai.

As someone introducing a supplement to Copper and Skye’s routine, I liked that it covered several areas. Not one specific area.

Chewable format

The Dog Is Human multi-vitamin supplement comes in a chewable format. This is perfect for Copper and Skye, who aren’t used to supplements.

When I’ve reviewed multivitamin supplements in the past, I’ve struggled to get my Alaskan Klee Kai dogs to take them in pill form.

But this chew was ideal because my Klee Kai dogs likely thought they were eating a treat rather than a supplement.

They’ve got two recipes: beef and chicken. This is good for fussy eaters like Skye, who appreciate variety.

Workhorse ingredients

Dog Is Human includes two workhorse ingredients that we like to see in multivitamins.

Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used joint-support ingredients in pet supplements, especially for active, aging, or larger dogs.

MSM is a naturally occurring sulfur compound commonly paired with glucosamine. It supports joint comfort and normal inflammatory response.

Noticeable coat and skin improvements

We fed Dog Is Human to Copper and Skye for a month to test out their multivitamin supplement.

Towards the end of the trial period, we noticed some improvements to Copper and Skye’s coat and skin health.

Skye’s coat had a lovely sheen, while Copper’s looked healthier, especially his post-surgery patches.

Dog Is Human contains wild Alaskan salmon oil, vitamin E, vitamin A and omega-3s, which can promote skin health and softer coats.

Everyday energy

As our long-term followers will know, Copper and Skye are truly middle-aged. We’ve noticed Skye slow down a little.

Our female Alaskan Klee Kai doesn’t have the same energy levels as she had when she was younger.

But we felt like Dog Is Human put some pep in her step while we tested out the multivitamin supplement.

The supplement contains B-complex vitamins, such as B2, B6, B9, and B12, that help efficiently turn food into energy.

Fortunately, Dog Is Human was a hit. I’m putting that down to the treat-like texture. They had no clue they were ingesting a supplement!

As someone with a supplement business (albeit aimed at women), I understand that consistency is key with these products.

We fed Dog Is Human to Copper and Skye for almost a month before writing this review. We still have a month’s supply left.

It has positively impacted our mini huskies, with better coat and skin health, and increased energy levels.

We’re interested to see what other benefits we might see in the coming month.

Not targeted for specific health conditions

If you’re looking to target a specific health concern, the multivitamin isn’t for you.

This vet-recommended supplement covers bases such as hip and joint health, immunity, digestion, skin and coat, and heart health.

But if you’re looking to target one of these issues specifically, you might be better off going for an alternative.

Dog Is Human has priced their daily multivitamin supplement at $39.99.

Upon researching this article, I compared that price to other multivitamins for dogs in the market.

They’re certainly priced within the upper range, with other premium choices priced between $35 and $40.

However, you can find cheaper options between $25 and $30.
