Are you considering trying a cat food subscription service, such as Blink!, but want to learn more?
We’ve got cats in our family (although they don’t share the same home as Copper and Skye), so we’ve been reviewing some of the best cat food in the UK.
Blink! is one of the leading names in England for pet owners who’d like to try a fresh approach when it comes to their feline friend’s nutrition.
We’ve ordered some Blink! to test out on a Ragdoll cat called Maurice, so we could get an idea about how their subscriptions work and their cat food.
In this article, we’ll share our Blink! cat food pros and cons to help other cat owners who may be interested in placing an order.
Blink! Cat Food Pros

Multiple pet food formats
Blink! offer two pet food formats, which may appeal to cat owners. It’s not uncommon for cats to be fussy. We enjoy having the flexibility to use various pet food formats to keep our kitties guessing at mealtime. Blink! offer dry food and wet food as part of their cat food subscription. If you think your feline might enjoy two different textures, Blink! give pet parents that flexibility.
Range of flavours
As we mentioned above, cats are notoriously fussy. That’s why we appreciate Blink! having so many different flavors to choose from. You select from 22 recipes across all formats. The proteins available include beef, chicken, duck, salmon, tuna, and turkey.
No freezer space required

If you opt for Blink! then you don’t have to worry about fridge and freezer space, unlike Untamed and other fresh cat food brands. Blink! can be stored in the cupboard and when you open their wet food, you pop it in the fridge if you didn’t use all the contents. This makes Blink! convenient for pet owners with limited space.
Affordable
Blink! isn’t as pricey as some cat food brands that we’ve reviewed. Their pouches cost around £1 per pouch, which isn’t bad value for high-quality cat food. It’s worth noting that there’s a price difference between their dry food and wet food. We could get a month’s worth of dry and wet food for £55. If we went for wet food over dry food, it worked out £5 more expensive per month.
Nice packaging
Our friend Jess also reviewed Blink! to provide a more thorough article. She works in design and had this to say on the packaging: “The sample pack was quickly delivered and small enough to fit through the letterbox, so very easy. It was in a small letterbox-sized cardboard box, aesthetically pleasing and easily recyclable.”
Mo approved!
Her cat, Maurice (Mo for short), is a fussy eater, so we were intrigued to see how he’d find Blink! having had mixed experiences with KatKin and Untamed. However, Blink! quickly emerged as his absolute favorite!
Great entry offer
If you’re interested in testing out Blink! on your furry friend, they’ve got a great introductory offer. You can get a sample pack for £1. That’s great value. You can test out their tailored cat food for minimal investment. So if your cat doesn’t like their food, you haven’t shelled out a lot of money.
Blink! Cat Food Cons

Some cats get fussy
It’s no secret that cats can be fussy. I’ve got fussy dogs but my brother’s cats are even pickier than my dogs (which I didn’t think was possible). There are success stories with Blink!, and there are failures. Some cat owners explain online that they alternative between Blink! and other brands. It’s something to keep in mind.
Can be messy
Our friend Jess felt that Blink! was a little messy when you’re dealing with opened wet food pouches. It’s a similar story with opened frozen meals for cats. Blink! don’t provide a meal container, which some dog food brands do. It could be a good addition to prevent mess in your fridge!
Appearance
Jess added that Blink! didn’t look as appetizing as some of the other brands that Mo tested out. However, Blink! was his clear favorite so taste trumped appearance for Mo.
Wrapping Up

We’ve reached the end of our Blink! article taking a look at the pros and cons of their cat food.
We recommend testing their dry and wet cat food to see if it can satisfy your feline, as it did for our friend Mo.
You can’t go wrong with their £1 sample pack to test out some of their recipes.
