Are you a content creator or website owner looking for a simple but reliable hosting platform?
It can be confusing trying to determine the best platform and hosting plan if you’re not very experienced with the technical aspects of running websites.
I’ve been running websites for the best part of 15 years, but until recently, I never had to choose a hosting platform. It was my business partner’s job.
But I decided it was time to create a website to expand my social media business, so I started searching for a hosting provider that could meet my needs.
If you’re a content creator or a website owner like me, you just want a hosting service that supports a fast, reliable website. I found Kinsta.
In this article, I’m going to share my Kinsta pros and cons, having relied upon their service for the past four years.
Kinsta Pros
Fast site

There’s nothing worse than a site that takes too long to load when you’re desperate to read a review before making a purchase. I wanted a fast, reliable site that provided readers with a good experience. Having tried other hosting plans in the past with my other businesses, I know firsthand the stress of a down website. I’ve had vacations ruined because the site has been crashing intermittently for days. It’s extremely frustrating and unpleasant to sit on the beach with your head buried in a laptop, trying to figure out the issue. Kinsta has made my website fast and reliable (something which I hope you experienced today!). I’m not a web developer or coder, so all I wanted was a website that loads quickly, images that don’t drag and a fast experience on mobile. Kinsta ticks the boxes.
Minimal tech stress
It can be daunting to set up your website with a hosting provider. I’ve got another business with a friend, and he’s always handled the technical stuff. So when I started this website, I was left to my own devices. It was scary. But Kinsta helped talk me through the migration from WP hosting to Kinsta. It was simple, and Kinsta guided me through the process. I no longer have to worry about any other technical concerns. Kinsta handles many potential headaches, such as daily backups.
Human support
I’ve relied heavily on Kinsta’s customer support, and I can say from experience that it’s great. I’ve used the customer online chat multiple times to talk through a range of issues. Whether it was initially migrating to Kinsta, adding more websites to my plan, checking about potentially dangerous plug-ins, or learning how to handle traffic spikes. There are actually humans on the other end of the screen. That makes a big difference. They speak in a friendly, simple language, which is important for someone like me who isn’t the most technically minded.
Dashboard layout

I find the Kinsta dashboard easy to navigate, unlike hosting platforms that I’ve used in the past. I can usually find the section I’m looking for without too much trouble. It doesn’t feel overcomplicated, unlike some other companies’ dashboards, which are more akin to cockpits. This is another way that Kinsta presents itself as friendly to content creators. Whether I’m looking to find backsup, add redirects, check on my plugins and themes or add more users, it’s easy to navigate to the right area.
Handles Traffic Spikes
Kinsta has never let me down. Even when I’ve seen a traffic spike to an article, Kinsta has me covered. With six million followers across our social media accounts, we can see a spike in traffic if a video goes viral. With other hosting providers in the past, this would almost certainly have caused the website to crash. But I haven’t experienced any problems since switching to Kinsta. This is a huge piece of mind and one of the biggest pros to making the move to Kinsta. I like how Kinsta is flexible about how they charge me when I go over my monthly limit. I have to pay a fixed price per extra 1,000 visitors. Kinsta doesn’t force me to upgrade to a more expensive plan.
Get a free month on us!
If you’re a content creator like us and you have limited technical experience, like me, I’d recommend Kinsta. You can migrate your website to Kinsta for free from your current provider. Furthermore, we can offer our readers or fellow content creators the chance to get their first month on Kinsta for free!
Kinsta Cons
More expensive than other hosting platforms

Kinsta can cost more than some regular hosting service providers. However, it’s worth the cost given their reliability. You’re paying a little more for peace of mind that you’ll get the desired speed, can rely on their support, and that your website will be more reliable. It’s been one of the best business decisions I’ve made. Whether you’re just starting out or already an established content creator on social media or your website, Kinsta provides a solid foundation. If you rely on your website to generate income, as we do, it’s worth it.
No email hosting
Kinsta doesn’t offer email hosting as part of its service. This may come as a surprise to some people and could be a potential disadvantage to their service. We already use another platform for email hosting, so it didn’t factor into our decision. But I wanted to disclose it in this Kinsta review because it could be an important consideration for some entrepreneurs or business owners.
Only chat support
This had no bearing on my decision because I much prefer chat support to over-the-phone support. I was delighted to find that Kinsta offers such quick and helpful support through its chat feature. However, I’m aware that some business owners might prefer the option to call support for answers to questions.
Too early
Kinsta may not be necessary if you’re just starting out with your website. They provide websites with the horsepower they need to grow and handle ever-increasing traffic. But if you’re unsure whether you’ll commit to your online business or have limited funds, you may prefer a more basic hosting service. We didn’t start with Kinsta, but they’ve been a game-changer for us. We’ve seen our website traffic grow from 10,000 to 50,000 monthly visitors this year. We haven’t experienced any issues thanks to Kinsta. So you may want to start with Kinsta from the beginning if you’ve convinced yourself your website will grow fast.
Wrapping Up

So there we have it! I’ve reached the end of Kinsta review and shared my pros and cons.
As you’ll no doubt have guessed by now, I’m a big fan of Kinsta, and I really appreciate their continued support of my online business.
Kinsta is worth every cent of my monthly subscription because they provide fast speeds, superb reliability and excellent customer support.
If you’re a content creator or online blogger, and you need a hosting platform you can count on, you won’t go wrong with Kinsta.
