Are you trying to decide between The Pets Table and Ollie? We compare both dog food brands, including their recipes, subscription plans, pricing, and which one my picky eater preferred during our testing.

I’ve been feeding my Alaskan Klee Kai human-grade fresh dog food for the past two years since moving to the USA. My fussy eater, Skye, is picky about her food, but I’ve found some dog food brands that my Klee Kai will always get excited to eat.

The Pets Table is a newer player in the market, offering fresh, air-dried dog food. What I like about The Pets Table is the number of subscription plans they offer. It gives pet owners a lot of flexibility.

Ollie is far more experienced with over 10 years in the market. Ollie has fresh food and baked food. They don’t offer the same subscription options as The Pets Table, but you can find their food at pet stores.

In this article, I’m going to take a look at The Pets Table and Ollie, share my Klee Kai’s verdict and my own, and tell you where you can buy their food.

With the introduction out of the way, let’s start by taking a look at which of these two dog food companies I’d recommend to my fellow pet owners.

The Pets Table Vs Ollie: Who Do We Recommend?

We’ll get right down to business and share our pick if you’re stuck between these two dog food companies. My recommendation would be The Pets Table.

My Alaskan Klee Kai dogs have typically enjoyed eating air-dried dog food, and this was the case with The Pet’s Table. While it wasn’t as big a hit as Sundays, Copper and Skye enjoyed the texture of their air-dried food.

So if I had to sign up for a subscription plan with either of these brands, I’d opt for a mixed plan with The Pets Table to combine their air-dried food with their fresh recipes. My Klee Kai liked this combination when I tested these brands in 2026.

Ollie has a good range of fresh recipes to cater to picky eaters. Copper and Skye were big fans of the chicken, beef and pork recipes. They offer one more fresh recipe than The Pets Table.

However, The Pets Table provides a pre-portion guideline on each meal pouch. While it wasn’t as easy to follow as The Farmer’s Dog, I appreciated that they made the effort to make mealtime a little easier.

From a dog owner’s perspective, I liked that Ollie provided a scooper and a container to reduce the mess at mealtime. This was something The Pets Table introduced in 2025, too.

I will say that Ollie’s meal packets were more convenient to stack in the freezer. They’re almost like bricks, so I could easily stack them in the freezer and maximize space. The Pets Table’s meal packets were skinnier and slightly harder to stack.

Copper and Skye tended to finish their Ollie’s fresh meals more quickly than The Pets Table. But when I used The Pets Table air-dried food alongside their fresh recipes, it worked a treat with my fussy eater Skye.

Although Ollie has more fresh recipes on offer, I felt that The Pets Table was a bigger hit with my Klee Kai, and I would recommend starting with fresh and air-dried if you’ve got a picky dog like me.

There’s a notable difference in price. Ollie’s fresh plan cost me $310 a month, which was $37 more than my subscription to The Pets Table.

If I opted for a mixed plan, The Pets Table charged me $239.32 a month. This was cheaper than Ollie’s fresh-and-baked plan which cost $278 a month.

I believe The Pets Table was a bigger hit with my Klee Kai, made my life a little easier as a pet owner and offers a more refined pet-food service. So I’d recommend them!

Who Is The Pets Table?

The Pets Table is a new player in the dog food subscription market, but the pet food brand is powered by the popular meal service company Hello Fresh.

Having provided Americans with a convenient way to eat healthy meals, The Pets Table is their equivalent offering for dogs in the USA.

The Pets Table offers fresh and dry dog food as part of their subscription service. They’ve got three recipes – Chicken Casserole, Turkey Casserole and Beef Stew. They’ve got two air-dried dog food recipes – Beef & Berries and Chicken & Sweet Potato.

Copper and Skye typically enjoy these two pet food formats – we fed them fresh food when we lived in the UK, and we’ve fed this air-dried dog food brand since moving back to the USA in 2023.

If you’ve ever ordered from Hello Fresh, you’ll be familiar with The Pets Table sign-up questionnaire. It was similar! However, you need to fill out their questionnaire and set up separate plans if you have multiple dogs, which I find inconvenient. This is still the case in 2026, which I find surprising!

The Pets Table stores its fresh food in narrow meal packets, and while it offers a portion guideline on each packet, it’s not as efficient as The Farmer’s Dog. The meal pouches are quite narrow, which makes it hard to refer to the portion markings.

I found their meal pouches were hard to use and left a lot of mess in my fridge. The Pets Table does offer a meal container, so you can store their meal packets in it, though the pouches are longer than the container.

When it came to passing the taste test, I found a combination of fresh and air-dried food worked best. It was more enticing to have different textures in the bowl, and Skye was more consistent in finishing her portions.

The Pets Table is competitively priced across the board. My fresh plan was $273, which is the second cheapest (The Farmer’s Dog still more affordable). Their mixed plan would cost me $239, which is $39 cheaper than Ollie. Their air-dried plan is $193.20, which is cheaper than Copper and Skye’s favorite Sundays.

Who Is Ollie?

Ollie is an experienced dog food company that offers baked and fresh recipes for pet owners in the USA.

They introduced baked recipes in 2023 to cater to dog parents who want to stick to feeding dry dog food to their canine companions.

I’ve tested Ollie multiple times on Copper and Skye since our return to the States. What’s always appealing is the range of recipes compared to other brands.

Ollie offers five fresh recipes (beef, chicken, lamb, pork, and turkey), which is more than any other fresh dog food company in the USA. They’ve got two baked recipes (beef and chicken).

Dog owners are required to complete their sign-up questionnaire to provide Ollie with basic details about their pets, such as age, weight, breed, activity level and more.

However, it lacks customization. For instance, The Farmer’s Dog individually labeled Copper and Skye’s meals and it was clear they were working towards their weight goals. Ollie didn’t do that.

However, I was a little disappointed that Ollie didn’t take more steps to customize Skye and Copper’s respective meals, given that they’ve got different weight goals.

I did appreciate that Ollie included a scooper and a meal container with my first delivery, giving me a handy place to store my fresh Ollie meals in the fridge.

I will say their food is easy to freeze. It helped that the meal pouches were brick-like. So I could stack them easily in my freezer.

Copper and Skye were a little hit-and-miss with Ollie. I noticed their fresh meals were denser and drier than other brands such as The Farmer’s Dog and The Pets Table. I don’t think this suited my Klee Kai.

While they didn’t mind the baked recipes, I don’t think the texture was as appealing as that of other dry food formats, such as air-dried or freeze-dried morsels. So again, they were inconsistent eating it.

Ollie is one of the more premium-priced brands. I had to pay $310.80 for a fresh plan, and their mixed plan cost $278. I think there are better-value options available, based on my experience reviewing dog food subscription brands.

The Pets Table Vs Ollie Price Comparison

My recommendation to our readers would be The Pets Table based on my overall experience with these two dog food subscription companies.

I found the combination of their air-dried and fresh food to be the best for my picky Alaskan Klee Kai dog.

They offer four subscription plans, giving pet owners flexibility to feed their pets at a price that works best for them.

Copper and Skye preferred their fresh, dry food recipes over Ollie’s, which is ultimately the biggest factor in my decision.

Having said that, you can find Ollie at your local pet store, which makes it a convenient option if you don’t want to be tied into a subscription.

But my overall verdict would be The Pets Table if you’re deciding between these two companies.
