Are you tired of paying for fresh dog food meals, or do you want to upgrade from traditional kibble to something a little healthier, but you’re unsure whether to go for Badlands Ranch or UnKibble?
There’s no shortage of dog food delivery companies vying for your attention with many varieties of human-grade dog food available to pet owners in the USA. However, it can be confusing and overwhelming trying to decipher which dog food brands offer the best food and service.
I’ve been searching to find the best dry dog food for my Alaskan Klee Kai dogs over the past couple of years due to the rising costs of feeding fresh frozen meals and raw dog food to my mini huskies.
It was during my research that I came across Badlands Ranch and UnKibble, which are two dog food companies that offer dry food options to American dogs.
In this article, we’ll be taking a look at Badlands Ranch and UnKibble and giving our recommendation based on how my Alaskan Klee Kai liked their food.
Cut to the chase: We recommend UnKibble, and you can save 50% when you use discount code LIFEK50 and click this link.
Badlands Ranch Vs UnKibble: Our recommendation
Let’s get right down to business by revealing our recommendation if you’re stuck between Badlands Ranch and UnKibble.
Having ordered from both of these dog food companies and tested their dry food on my picky eaters, I’d suggest trying UnKibble.
I believe UnKibble offers a more customized service than Badlands Ranch, representing better value for money.
Your dog will receive a custom scooper based on the answers you provided in your sign-up questionnaire to meet their weight goals.
UnKibble offers four different recipes, which is a good variety if you’ve got picky eaters like my Alaskan Klee Kai dogs.
While Copper and Skye enjoyed Badlands Ranch and I was impressed by the texture and flavors, it was pricey. UnKibble was significantly cheaper.
I paid $140 for a month’s supply of UnKibble, while Badlands Ranch cost me $208.38. So that’s a difference of $68.38 a month or $820.56 a year.
So, my recommendation would be UnKibble if you’re looking to make the switch to one of these dry dog food companies.
Who Is UnKibble?
UnKibble is the brainchild of Spot and Tango, who are an experienced dog food delivery company operating in the USA since 2015.
Attempting to cater to dog owners who don’t want the hassle of feeding fresh frozen meals but still want to enjoy the benefits, they created UnKibble.
I like that UnKibble use limited-ingredient recipes and clearly display on the front of each bag what ingredients your dog is eating in every potion of their food.
UnKibble provides a custom scooper for each pet when you sign up for their meal plan, allowing dog owners to practice portion control and help their dogs stay in shape.
Copper and Skye were fans of the beef and chicken recipes, so if you’ve got a fussy pup like me, I’d recommend starting with one of these.
I was happy with UnKibble’s service and felt it represented fair value for money. It’s one of the cheaper dog food subscriptions on offer if you’re looking to sign up for custom meals.
Who Is Badlands Ranch?
Badlands Ranch is a relatively new player in the dog food delivery market. The company was founded by actress and animal activist Katherine Heigl.
They differ from UnKibble in the sense that they offer air-dried dog food. They slowly air dry their recipes to lock in nutritional goodness and flavor for dogs.
The air-dried dog food company only uses human-grade ingredients in their recipes alongside a superfood blend.
Badlands Ranch offers four different recipes. I ordered Beef, Lamb & Venison and Chicken. All three recipes were a hit with my Alaskan Klee Kai dogs.
I was impressed to see that Badlands Ranch contains 87% meat, which is a high meat content compared to most brands. Copper and Skye liked the treat-like texture.
My biggest issue was the price. I paid $208.38 for three bags of food. If I signed up for a subscription plan, it reduced the price to just over $170. That’s more than UnKibble and Sundays (who I’ve previously reviewed).
Where To Buy UnKibble?
