Best dry dog food for picky eaters UK

Do you want to make a change to your dog’s food because there super picky, but you want to stick with dry dog food?

I’ve got two Alaskan Klee Kai dogs who are really fussy eaters, resulting in a lot of headaches over the years as they refuse their food.

However, through trial and error, I’ve uncovered some dry dog food brands that my mini huskies will eat despite their picky ways.

In this article, I’m going to share my best dry dog food options if you’re a British dog owner with a picky pup.

Pure Pet Food

My first choice would be Pure Pet Food. Copper and Skye were typically fussy when it came to dry food. That’s what led me to switch to this fresh dog food brand. But when I discovered Pure and its reputation for helping picky eaters and dogs with sensitive tummies, I decided to give them a try. Pure uses human-grade ingredients that are gently air-dried. I had to mix the air-dried food and the water to make Skye and Copper’s meals. To my astonishment, they devoured their Pure meals. They have a great range of recipes to cater to the different preferences of dogs. It’s much cheaper than fresh food, but I didn’t have to sacrifice quality.

Pooch & Mutt

If you’ve got a dog who suffers from an ailment, you may want to consider Pooch & Mutt. For instance, they’ve got four formulations to cater to the different needs of British pups. You can get Health & Digestion, Calm & Relaxed, Joint Care, and Slim & Slender. I like that Pooch & Mutt offer this range. Skye and Copper suffer from separation anxiety, so we fed their Calm & Relaxed formulation. While it didn’t resolve their separation anxiety, it did seem to help a little. You can order Pooch & Mutt from Amazon, making it a convenient way to get high-quality dog food.

Barking Heads

We spent the best part of five years trying to find dog food that Copper and Skye liked in the UK. Barking Heads is a good contender. We started our dry dog food journey by feeding Barking Heads to our Alaskan Klee Kai dogs. Barking Heads cater to dogs of all sizes with specific recipes. You can get dry food created for puppies, small dogs, adult dogs, hounds, large dogs and senior dogs. While you don’t get a custom plan, you can have peace of mind your dog is eating dry food made for their life stage.

So there we have it! We’ve reached the end of our best dry dog food for picky eaters.

I recommend Pure Pet Food if you’re looking for custom dry food that’s tailored to meet your dog’s specific needs.

Copper and Skye enjoyed Pure and I was impressed with their solid stools, good energy levels and overall happiness with their air-dried food.
