Dog Is Human Multiflex Review: Is This Premium Joint Supplement Worth It?

Are you looking for a hip and joint supplement for your dog? In this review, we tested Multiflex by Dog Is Human on our Alaskan Klee Kai dogs. We examine the ingredients, the convenience, the price and how our dogs liked it.

Copper and Skye will be nine this year, and we’ve started to notice subtle differences in their movement. Skye can’t jump into the car trunk as easily. Copper stretches for a little longer every time he gets up.

We’ve been looking to add a hip and joint supplement to their daily regimen, and we decided to try Multiflex by Dog Is Human. Yasmin and I released a supplement in 2025, and although it’s for humans, we want to make sure our dogs enjoy the same quality ingredients.

Their vet-formulated hip and joint supplement focuses on six clinically studied ingredients to promote joint health and mobility. They have third-party testing, and their products are manufactured in SQF-certified, NASC-preferred facilities.

Importantly. Copper and Skye happily ate their daily dose of Multiflex because I was able to sprinkle it over their raw dog food.

If you’ve ever researched dog supplements, it can be hard to know what ingredients to look out for. There’s no shortage of “trendy pet supplements” using “trendy ingredients”.

What I liked about Multiflex was the inclusion of clinically studied ingredients. Dog Is Human selected ingredients proven to promote hip and joint support in our pets.

I’ve spent the past 10 years reviewing pet products, including supplements. So I’ve learned what ingredients to look out for when it comes to supplements for Copper and Skye.

I was pleased to see Dog Is Human include glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and hyaluronic acid, which are commonly used in hip and joint supplements.

Targets 4 areas of joint and hip health

Multiflex is vet-formulated to target four areas of your dog’s joint and hip health. I found it appealing that Multiflex takes a broad approach to supporting my dog’s mobility.

Their supplement supports cartilage cushioning, the inflammatory response, connective tissue and balanced immune function.

Every dog is different, as highlighted by Copper and Skye. I can tell that they’re aging in different ways. Copper is more active, Skye less so. Copper still jumps, Skye is cautious.

Their supplement isn’t a cure but a preventative measure. My Klee Kai are nine this year, and I want to take a more proactive approach to their hip and joint health.

Manufacturing process

If you follow us on social media, you’ll know we created a supplement to support those with endometriosis in 2025. We learned a lot about manufacturing facilities and processes.

With that in mind, I researched where Dog Is Human is made. That was important to Yasmin and I.

Dog Is Human manufactures Multiflex in the United States at facilities that follow FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and hold third-party quality certifications, including SQF food safety certification and NASC quality standards.

Powder format

Our supplement is in powder format because it’s more bioavailable. I was delighted to see that Dog Is Human went with this approach for Multiflex.

We’ve previously reviewed their Multivitamin supplement that’s in a chew format. While Copper and Skye are happy to eat that chew, I personally prefer powder. Why?

Well, my Klee Kai dogs eat raw dog food, which has transformed Skye from a fussy eater into a food-motivated dog. I loved being able to sprinkle Multiflex over their dinner.

The other benefit is bringing Multiflex on your travels. The stick packs make it easy to grab a handful to add to your dog’s food on a daily basis, even if you’re on vacation

The difference we noticed

I’ve noticed a change in my Klee Kai dogs since we introduced Multiflex to their daily diet. Subtle changes, but I’m encouraged.

It’s only been a month, but Skye is looking more limber. I’ve noticed that she can jump onto the sofa or the sunbed on the deck without hesitation.

While Skye doesn’t like to go running with me, Copper does. We went for a 5km run in our neighborhood, and he happily completed the distance without stopping.

Both my Klee Kai are moving more freely, and look better energized. As with all supplements, consistency is important. There’s no quick fix, so we’ll continue to use it.

As part of my research for this review, I took a deep dive into the customer reviews. They’re generally positive with an average score of 4.67 based on over 900 reviews.

What stood out to me was how many pet owners noticed a difference after a month or two of feeding Multiflex to their dogs.

I’d recommend checking what other pet owners have to say before deciding whether to invest in this premium supplement.

Price

Supplements aren’t cheap. I’ve reviewed over 10 in the past few years for my websites. They tend to fall in three price ranges: $20-30, $30-40, and $40-50.

Dog Is Human has priced their Multiflex supplement at $58. That’s a premium price, albeit for a quality supplement. So I can see why some pet owners will have sticker shock.

Some dogs may prefer chews

I was happy to use the Multiflex because I preferred the powder format. As I mentioned above, it allowed me to sprinkle it over their raw dog food every day.

However, some pets may be more inclined to take their supplements if they’re in chewable form. Every dog is different. But that’s something to keep in mind.

Small dog owners may find it messy

I have two dogs, so I could split one packet between Copper and Skye. So I effectively had 60 servings in my box because I could split the 30 packets in half.

However, if you’ve only got one small dog, you may find it a little messy to save a half-used packet for the following day. It wouldn’t bother me, but it might affect some people.

No green-lipped mussel

As I mentioned above, I’ve reviewed a number of pet supplements, including green-lipped mussel. I’m accustomed to seeing certain ingredients in formulations.

Usually, I’d see the inclusion of green-lipped mussel. However, Dog Is Human hasn’t included this particular ingredient in their Multiflex. That was a slight surprise.

However, they have used six clinically-researched and backed ingredients, which gives me peace of mind that their vet-formulated supplement is effective.

As someone interested in supplements, I was impressed by the formulation and manufacturing processes. They gave me peace of mind. This isn’t a cheap supplement.

It’s been mindfully formulated with clinically-studied ingredients. This was important to me because it’s a pricey supplement and I want value if I’m going to spend $58.
