Are you looking for a collapsible dog crate but you can’t decide between the Kindtail PAWD crate and the Revol by Diggs?
We’ve been using dog crates since Copper and Skye were puppies, and we’ve reviewed many different brands and lots of dog crates over the past eight years since bringing home our Alaskan Klee Kai.
There’s no shortage of options on the market whether you want to invest in a premium collapsible dog crate or you’d rather purchase a wire dog crate from Amazon.

Kindtail and Diggs are two dog crate manufacturers who have an eye for design and functionality, which makes their products standout when compared to crates you can find on Amazon.
In this article, we’re going to take a look at the Kindtail PAWD and the Revol by Diggs, sharing our recommendation if you can’t decide between these two crates, and sharing some of the pros and cons.
Kindtail PAWD vs Diggs Revol: Who do we recommend?

While the PAWD and the Revol are two good choices if you’re looking for a collapsible crate, our recommendation would be the PAWD.
We thought the PAWD had a thoughtful design that was easy to use and our Alaskan Klee Kai dogs loved being inside their PAWD collapsible crates.
The PAWD had a nicer design than the Revol, and we felt it matched our home’s interior design more seamlessly, unlike some traditional crates.
Admittedly, the Revol is quicker to collapse and reassemble than the PAWD, but Kindtail’s crate is still much quicker than some other brands such as Impact.

It’s easier to store away because the PAWD is extremely compact when collapsed, more so than the Revol. We were able to slot it under a bed frame.
The biggest advantage the PAWD has over the Revol is price. It’s markedly cheaper. The PAWD is priced at $140 for the small and $240 for the large. The Revol, on the other hand, costs $599 for the small and $799 for the medium.
The PAWD doesn’t offer intermediate or large sizes, but the medium was perfect for Copper and Skye. With a saving of $459 but little difference in functionality, we believe the PAWD offers better value for money.
Who Is Kindtail?

Kindtail is a pet product company based in the United States with a reputation for designing aesthetic products without sacrificing functionality.
The PAWD is their hero product and the only dog crate on offer on their website at the current time. It was created by their founder Amy, an industrial designer.
Having got my hands on the PAWD to review, I was impressed by it’s ease of use. You don’t need any tools to assemble it and construction takes five minutes.

Although it’s a plastic crate, it’s extremely durable. It held my weight and my toddler’s weight when we decided to test out its structural integrity.
The PAWD is easy to clean if you have dogs who shed like me, or perhaps you’re using the PAWD to crate train your pup. They fit in my Tesla trunk, too.
My wife and I liked the design of the crate. It doesn’t scream “dog crate” like a lot of wire crates or some premium metal crates. So it felt a like a piece of furniture in our home rather than a pet product.

Copper and Skye are comfortable inside the PAWD, with ample ventilation on each side of the crate. We can also see inside to make sure our Alaskan Klee Kai are relaxing during downtime rather than showing signs of anxiety.
You can’t beat the price of the PAWD! At $139.99 for the small and $209.99 for the medium, you can’t argue with the price. You’re getting a thoughtfully designed product that’s fit for purpose.
Who Is Diggs?

Diggs is another US-based company with a reputation for stellar design when it comes to pet products, especially dog crates. We’ve discussed the Revol, but they’ve also got the Evolv and the Enventur. The Revol is their most popular product since launching in 2018.
The Revol is probably the easiest dog crate to collapse and reassemble of all the collapsible dog crates that I’ve tried on the market. You can collapse it and store it away in less than 30 seconds thanks to the ergonomic design.
It has multiple entry point – a side door, garage-style door and from the roof. However, my dogs didn’t like the garage-style door. It made them skittish so we rarely used this feature.

The Revol has a removable tray so it’s easy to clean if your dog has an accident, gets sick or shed a lot like Copper and Skye. It’s made from durable metal, giving the crate a sturdy but safe design.
It is difficult to move despite having wheels on the base. We’ve reviewed the medium and intermediate Revol crates and they’re heavy. There’s no handles on the top so it’s tricky to lift.
The Revol has increased significantly in price since we first reviewed the crate. For example, the small size has jumped in price from $375 to $599. Diggs have designed a great crate but the price may deter dog owners with a limited budget.
Wrapping Up

We’ve reached the end of our article taking a look at the PAWD by Kindtail and the Revol by Diggs.
Our recommendation would be the PAWD because it represents better value for money at an affordable starting point of $139.99 for the small version.
While the Revol has some extra design features, the PAWD is more than adequate for pet owners looking for a well-designed crate for their pup.
