I’ve been using Diggs dog crates for the past year since returning to the USA as my primary way to keep Copper and Skye safe in my home or in the trunk of my car.

Having tested the Revol, the Evolv, and the Enventur in various circumstances, I’ve got a good idea of which of these three dog crates is my favorite.

Which Is The Best Diggs Dog Crate?

There are pros and cons to all three Diggs dog crates, but I do have a personal favorite that best serves me as an Alaskan Klee Kai owner in my daily life.

Since getting my hands on the Revol, Evolv, and Enventur over the past year, I’ve found myself using all three premium dog crates, but typically, my go-to choice is the Revol.

The Revol crate is the most versatile of the three crates because it’s a collapsible dog crate with a handle and wheels, which allows me to move it easily around my home or into my car.

To my mind, it’s an elevated version of the standard wire crates you can find on Amazon. It’s much easier to use, with its ergonomic design, garage-style door, and collapsible function.

I’d rank the Revol crate above the Evolv dog crate and Envetur inflatable kennel because I can use my Revol crate to keep my dogs safe while they’re home alone, roll it down to my office, or collapse it in seconds and take it to my car.

For these three reasons alone, I consider the Revol dog crate to be the best Diggs offer.

Revol Vs Evolv Vs Enventur: Key Differences

So you know my favorite Diggs crate but what are some of the key differences between these crates?

For this section, I’ll compare all of the Diggs dog crates to share the differences I’ve uncovered testing them out over the past year.

Revol Vs Evolv

The Diggs Revol is their original dog crate but the dog crate brand launched the Evolv in 2023.

These dog crates do share some of the same features, such as a diamond-shaped design, a removable tray, durable materials free from heavy metals, and one-handed handle operation on the doors.

There’s a notable difference in weight between the Diggs Revol and Evolv. The Evolv is much lighter and easier to move if you’re carrying both dog crates assembled. However, the Diggs Revol can be collapsed and moved using the handle and wheels. I found the Revol to be more portable because of these design features and ended up using it more frequently as a result.

The Evolv doesn’t require tools to assemble. Once you’ve mastered how to collapse and take down, you can do so in a couple of minutes. But the Revol crate has an integrated design that allows pet owners to collapse within 30 seconds, which makes it more functional. For that reason, I preferred the Revol because I could collapse and reassemble even if I had Copper and Skye’s leashes in my other hand.

The Evolv crate excels in its modular design. The sides of the Evolv dog crates can be alternated. You can put the doors wherever you want! There’s a playpen mode and a puppy divider. These features mean the Evolv could be useful during crate training or potty training. Copper and Skye are adult dogs so I probably didn’t appreciate these features as much as a pet owner with a puppy might.

The Revol and Evolv dog crates have a front door and a side door (you can buy additional side doors with the Diggs Evolv). However, the Revol has a ceiling hatch to provide access from above. I found this particularly useful if we used the Revol for a road trip and we needed to reach Copper and Skye from the rear seat.

The final difference is the price. The Revol is a more premium dog crate, so it can cost up to $675 for the large. The Diggs Evolv is an affordable option, ranging from $170 to $300.

Revol Vs Enventur

The Diggs Revol is a dog crate and the Diggs Enventur is a travel kennel.

While the Diggs Revol is made from durable and versatile metal material, the Enventur is a lightweight inflatable kennel designed to keep dogs safe during car travel.

You need a pump to inflate and deflate the Enventur, which isn’t the case with the Revol as previously discussed. I was able to inflate or deflate the Enventur within a couple of minutes.

The Enventur excels at keeping dogs safe in the car. The small and medium sizes have passed crash safety testing, but the large hasn’t. The Revol hasn’t been crash-tested, irrespective of size. So dog owners will have more peace of mind using the Enventur for safe car travel (you can read more about the extensive testing including pressure and temperature testing carried out on the Eventur on their website).

While the Enventur will fit in most vehicles, I found the large wasn’t the best fit for my Tesla Model Y. I found myself using the Revol for short journeys to the vet, pet store or hiking spot because it fit nicely in my trunk. I liked that it could be quickly collapsed and moved to an Air BnB if required. However, I did invest in a smaller Enventur to use on long road trips to ensure my Klee Kai’s safety.

If you’re a pet owner who only wants to use a crate or kennel in specific situations, you may prefer the Enventur. It can be deflated, rolled up and put away. It’s roughly the same size as a duffel bag. The Revol isn’t as compact when collapsed and would take up more room in a cupboard or garage.

There is a smaller price difference between these two. The Revol ranges from $375 to $675, and the Eventur starts at $425 and goes up to $575.

Enventur Vs Evolv

The Eventur travel kennel and The Evolv dog crate are more budget-friendly options.

The Evolv gives you the flexibility to assemble and disassemble when required, but you’ll need to keep track of all the different parts. When the Envetur is deflated, you simply roll it up and store away.

If you’re preparing for a new puppy and you plan to use the Evolv dog crate at home, the modular design, playpen mode and puppy divider are all useful features to have.

The removable tray makes it easier to clean than the Enventur, especially if you’ve got big shedders like me.

However, dog owners who want a crate or kennel to use for car travel would do better picking the Enventur kennel over the Evolv dog crate.

It has more safety features for transport, passed crash safety testing and you can buy tie downs to keep the kennel secure.

Are Diggs Crates Worth It?

Having used the complete set over the past year, I believe Diggs crates are worth it.

They’re a middle ground between cheap wire crates and expensive premium dog crates.

I’ve been using the Revol, Evolv, and Envetur regularly, and while I like all three, I believe the Revol is the most versatile option and, therefore, the best value if you’re looking for a super easy crate.

You can use the Revol to put your dogs away if you’ve got workmen at your home, it can be transported to an office space or a holiday rental and can be used in the trunk of a car (it’s not crash tested).
