Are you thinking about signing up for Nom Nom dog food, but you want to know how much it costs?

We all want to feed our dogs the best dog food possible, but it can be unclear how much you’ll have to cough up on a weekly or monthly basis when you sign up for a pet food subscription service.

Having moved to the USA from the UK, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of fresh dog food options when we returned to California with Copper and Skye.

We’ve come full circle because the first fresh dog food brand we tried in the USA was Nom Nom (formerly Nom Nom Now) back in 2018, and now we’re testing their service five years later.

In this article, we’re going to be taking a look at how much you can expect to pay for Nom Nom per week and month whether you’ve got a small breed, medium-sized dog or large dog.

We’ll also share how much we can expect to pay for Nom Nom’s dog food based on Copper and Skye.

To give a varied breakdown of the costs, I’ll take a look at a small dog, medium dog and large dog, and share how much I paid for my Nom Nom dog food.

Before I provide a detailed breakdown of Nom Nom’s price, I want to point out some of their dog food recipes vary in price.

So, you’ll have to decide which of their dog food recipes will best suit your pup and best fit your budget, meaning your subscription plan will be unique to you.

The Beef Mash recipe is their most expensive recipe, the Turkey Fare and Pork Potluck carry a $$$ price tag, and the Chicken Cuisine recipe is their cheapest.

For this Nom Nom price guideline, I’ll be selecting Beef Mash, Pork Potluck and Chicken Cuisine below.

• Chi, male Chihuahua, 5 years old, 5lbs – $23.62 per week, $94.48 per month.

• Oz, male Australian Shepherd, 5 years old, 55lbs – $69.38 per week, $277.52 a month

• Bernie, male Bernese Mountain Dog, 5 years old, $110.99 per week, $443.96 a month

When I signed up Copper and Skye to give Nom Nom a try, this is how much I had to pay $54.16 per week (or $216.64 per month).

Interestingly, when we first signed up to Nom Nom back in 2018, we paid $160 a month. So that’s an increase of $56.64!

Nom Nom is a premium option, but you’re paying for high-quality dog food that’s been created by board-certified veterinary nutritionists and contains high-quality ingredients.

Is Nom Nom Worth It?

We really believe in the benefits of fresh dog food such as Nom Nom.

If you’re familiar with our Alaskan Klee Kai, you’ll know that Skye is a fussy eater who has struggled with a sensitive tummy in the past.

It was only when we ditched the store-bought kibble and smelly wet food that Skye started to be consistently interested in her dog food.

I must admit that she does still show signs of being a picky eater on occasion, but there are some dog food brands that Skye likes more than others.

In the UK, we had Butternut Box, but they don’t operate in the USA, so we’ve had to do some trial and error since moving back stateside.

Of the fresh foods for dogs that we’ve tried, I would say Nom Nom dog food is up there as one of my Alaskan Klee Kai’s favourites.

Of the three recipes, Beef Mash was their clear favourite. They liked Chicken Cuisine, but I could tell Beef Mash and Pork Potluck made them more excited.

Admittedly, Copper and Skye didn’t really care for the Turkey Fare so I wouldn’t include that in my Nom Nom order again.

What I really liked about Nom Nom is their dog food looked like real food – you could spot the chicken, brown rice, sweet potatoes, green beans and other whole food ingredients.

While some fresh dog food companies state that they’re human-grade or high quality, their fresh meals look a lot like gravy or wet food to me.

Nom Nom had chunks of food that I could identify and would eat myself, so I felt good about feeding it to Copper and Skye.

I also had peace of mind knowing that board-certified veterinary nutritionists had a hand to play in the creation of the recipes, too.

Nom Nom does require freezer space, which is a potential con if you’re accustomed to storing your dog’s food in the cupboard.

Nom Nom is a premium option, so it does cost a lot of money, but I believe if pet parents find dog food that their dog loves and it’s healthy for them, it’s worth the investment.
