I‘ve tested The Pets Table and Sundays For Dogs with my two dogs. If you’re trying to decide between these two brands, this comparison breaks down the ingredients, recipes, price, convenience and my Klee Kai’s verdict.
The Pets Table Vs Sundays Quick Verdict |
If you want the convenience of air-dried dog food that passed the test with my picky eater, it would be Sundays. My Alaskan Klee Kai did prefer their air-dried recipes over The Pets Table. We consistently fed Sundays to Skye and Copper for over three years. So we feel confident in their recipes. However, The Pets Table offers both fresh and air-dried recipes. They offer greater flexibility in meal and subscription plans. If you like having options, you may prefer The Pets Table. There isn't an awful lot of difference in price. Overall Purely because of how long Sundays kept my Klee Kai happy, I'd recommend starting with their air-dried food. But these are two good options if you have a picky eater.

We decided to ditch traditional kibble in favor of fresh dog food after our Alaskan Klee Kai stopped eating their regular dry dog food, which our breeder had initially recommended when we brought home Copper and Skye.

Sundays For Dogs Vs The Pets Table: Our Verdict

So, who do we recommend, Sundays or The Pets Table?
Well, we’re still feeding one of these brands to Copper and Skye alongside raw dog food, and that brand is Sundays. We continued with Sundays for 18 months after initially ordering their food.
Ultimately, the biggest factor was that Copper and Skye preferred Sundays over The Pets Table. My Alaskan Klee Kai would consistently eat on Sundays, resulting in better energy levels, reducing Skye’s pickiness at mealtime, and leading to zero digestive issues since eating her food.
While they showed initial interest in The Pets Table, I noticed Skye show more pickiness as the month progressed. My Klee Kai preferred their air-dried recipes to fresh ones.

While The Pets Table does offer a handy pre-portioned guideline on the side of each meal pouch, I found it hard to use because the meal packets are so skinny.
Sundays previously offered a significant saving on their pet food compared to The Pets Table. My old Sundays dog food price was $184.40. Now I pay $219 in 2026. That’s a significant increase in the past year or so.
How much does Sundays cost?
I took a deep diving into their pricing.
The Pets Table does come in cheaper if you’re only ordering air-dried food, with my subscription costing $193.20 a month. However, the Pets Table is more expensive if you order the full fresh plan ($273.60) or mixed plan ($252).
While I don’t think you’ll go wrong with the Pets Table if you do decide to give their pet food a try, Sundays would be my recommendation if you’re stuck between these two brands purely because of the success we had feeding it to Copper and Skye.
Who Is The Pets Table?

The Pets Table represents HelloFresh’s foray into premium dog food, having launched their human-grade dog food in 2023.
The Pets Table has developed its recipes with help from veterinarian nutritionists to ensure its fresh dog food meets AAFCO industry standards.
At The Pets Table, you’ll find high-quality ingredients alongside superfoods and vitamin A to take care of dogs of all life stages. For pet parents who place a special emphasis on gut health, you’ll be pleased to learn your dog food is high in fiber with probiotics.
They offer a combination of air-dried and fresh-frozen meals, providing variety for every pet owner. I like having the flexibility to pick fresh or air-dried, or combine both. I’ve reviewed a lot of dog food brands, and few combine the various food formats like The Pets Table.

The Pets Table’s air-dried dog food is described as being a healthier alternative to traditional kibble but a more affordable option than fresh dog food recipes such as The Farmer’s Dog.
Pet owners can pick between Chicken & Sweet Potato and Beef & Berries if they want their air-dried food. The Pets Table offers three fresh food recipes: Chicken Casserole with Green Beans, Beef Stew with Carrots and Turkey Casserole with Broccoli.
When it comes to deciding upon a plan, The Pets Table offers air dried dog food plan, a fresh dog food plan, a mixed plan and half of fresh plan. Compared to most subscription dog foods, The Pets Table offers a lot of flexibility to cater to all budgets.

When The Pets Table arrived at my door, I opened the box and was delighted to see a meal container. This ensured any leftover dog food could be stored in the meal container, so there would be no mess in my fridge. This was a thoughtful inclusion which I really appreciated.
When it came to mealtime, The Pets Table provided a handy guide on each meal pouch to ensure dog parents fed the right portion. I’ve only seen one other dog food brand follow through on the pre-portioned element (The Farmer’s Dog). However, there was no pre-portion element to their air-dried meals.
From a pet owner’s perspective, I was impressed, but Copper and Skye weren’t big fans of the food. Skye didn’t really enjoy The Pets Table despite my best efforts to get her to eat it. Copper liked it more, but I wouldn’t say it was a resounding hit.
Feeding 100% fresh to my Klee Kai would cost $255.40 a month, and 100% air-dried would cost $193.20, but I opted for the mixed plan, so I paid $251.56.
| The Pets Table Pros | The Pets Table Cons |
|---|---|
| Easy to order | Skye unsure of fresh |
| Recipe variety | Costs more than kibble |
| Pet Food Formats | No scooper |
| Affordable price | Multiple dogs |

Who Is Sundays For Dogs?

Sundays For Dogs is one of the leading providers of air-dried dog food in the USA, and we first tested their air-dried food in 2023, feeding it for over 18 months.
Sundays dog food uses only human-grade ingredients in its recipes, such as USDA beef, alongside natural ingredients like sweet potatoes and carrots. If you read the ingredients label for their fresh meals, it’s food that you and I would likely eat as part of our diet. That made me feel confident about the ingredients in my Klee Kai’s meals.
Once pet parents have completed their sign-up questionnaire, Sundays will tailor their meals according to your dog’s dietary needs. At the time of writing, Sundays offer three proteins: beef, chicken and turkey. It’s a decent range, but I’d love to see more protein options, especially since I have a fussy dog.

Once you’ve completed signing up, Sundays will ship their pet food to your door, ready to feed to your canine companion, because it doesn’t need to be defrosted, unlike some new food that may be frozen and needs to be thawed. I loved this level of convenience as someone who fed fresh frozen meals for nearly five years.
Sundays provide a feeding guideline to ensure you get the serving size right for your dog’s diet. However, there’s no custom scooper like their rivals UnKibble. That’s a shame. Seeing as Sundays is effectively dry food, it’s shelf-stable and can be stored in your cupboard. Sundays explain that their dry food stays fresh for up to six or seven weeks.
Having read about the best dry food using human-grade ingredients, we decided to give Sundays a try because Skye wouldn’t consistently eat her frozen meals from some of the USA’s leading fresh dog food brands.

We were able to disclose any food sensitivities when signing up and share that Skye is a fussy eater. That was a nice touch, and it made me feel like the brand really listened.
Skye and Copper enjoyed Sundays a lot! I was surprised because up until this point, they’d always eaten fresh dog food. I believe the high meat content of 90% helped. I’m sure the treat-like texture played a part.
When I first tested Sundays back in 2023, I paid $140 a month. That price crept up to $184.40 towards the end of 2024. However, my current Sundays subscription price is $218. That’s a significant increase.
| Sundays Pros | Sundays Cons |
|---|---|
| High meat content | Only 3 recipes |
| My dogs loved it | Costs more than kibble |
| No nasties | No scooper |
| Cheaper than fresh | Price increase |
