Are you looking to invest in a travel kennel, and you’re thinking about purchasing the Enventur?

The Enventur Travel Kennel is perfect for pet owners who like to take their dogs on adventures, whether it’s a road trip, exploring a national park, or visiting family.

We love to take our Alaskan Klee Kai with us in our Tesla when we go on weekend breaks, but with a toddler and two dogs, it can be difficult to fit everything in.

The idea of an inflatable dog kennel appealed to us because it can be stored away when not in use, and it’s easily inflated when we’re visiting family or preparing to go on a road.

In this article, we’re going to share our pros and cons of the Enventur based on using this Diggs travel kennel for the past 18 months.

Enventur Pros

Inflates in 60 seconds

The Enventur is easy to inflate and deflate. Once I got to grips with attaching and using the pump, I could inflate the Enventur inside 60 seconds with some elbow grease. It’s a similar process to deflate the travel kennel. I like that I can put the Enventur in the trunk of my Tesla when I need to take Copper and Skye somewhere, but deflate the kennel once we’ve arrived home and store it in my garage. It’s super convenient.

Lightweight

If you’ve read any of my other dog crate reviews, you’ll notice that I discuss the weight a lot. My wife struggles to lift some of the Diggs, Impact and Gunner crates that I’ve reviewed. However, she loves the Enventur because it’s extremely lightweight. It’s just air! So she can lift it without exacerbating her back or pelvis (she has struggled with pelvic problems since her pregnancy).

Storage

I already touched upon this above, but I want to emphasise just how convenient this kennel is to store. Once it’s deflated, the Enventur folds flat, and you can use the buckles to roll it up tightly. Therefore, it doesn’t take up room in your home or garage, giving you the ability to store it away when it’s not in use. While you can get collapsible crates, they’re still awkward to put away out of sight when you don’t need them.

Safety features

The Enventur has a lot of safety features worth highlighting. Firstly, the small and medium versions of this kennel have passed crash safety testing. This provided me with peace of mind. Once fully inflated, the Enventur is extremely solid, just like a hard-sided crate (I sat on top of the crate, and it didn’t lose any of its stability). Diggs has used puncture-resistant, waterproof materials. They’ve subjected the kennel to rigorous testing, including pressure and temperature. You can read more about the testing and safety features on their website.

Ventilation

Some dog crates specifically designed for travel can lack ventilation. That’s not the case with the Enventur. Diggs has used mesh in the front and on the windows on each side. This allows for ample airflow to regulate the temperature inside the kennel.

My Alaskan Klee Kai dogs are fans of crates and kennels because they like to have a safe space. The Enventur was a hit with my Klee Kai. We use it a lot for travel. I use it in our yard, too. My Klee Kai have a high prey drive and can’t be trusted off-leash in our half-acre yard. So we keep them in the Enventur if they’re not on a leash. I usually open the kennel to find them napping! On the hot afternoons in California, while I was reviewing and testing the Diggs Enventur Travel Kennel, Copper really enjoyed napping inside, which I think speaks to the calming space and cool interior.

Enventur Cons

Premium price

The Enventur is pricey. It’s priced at $550 for the small, $605 for the medium, and $700 for the large. That’s quite a hefty price tag. Diggs raised the price of their kennels by 29%. However, it’s still competitively priced when compared to their Revol crate and Gunner Kennels, while it’s more affordable than Impact Dog Crates’ offerings. You’re paying for all the safety features.

Only three sizes

If you’re familiar with Diggs, you’ll know that they offer four sizes for their Revol and Evolv. With the Enventur, you only get to chose from small, medium, and large. So there’s slightly less to work with. I found the small was too small, but the medium was too big for one of my Klee Kai. I’ve ended up using it for both dogs.

Issues with deflation

In the spirit of transparency, I did have an issue with my first Enventur. It would slowly deflate over a couple of weeks. However, I did reach out to Diggs, who sent me a replacement. I haven’t experienced any issues with the replacement.

Final Thoughts

We’ve concluded our Enventur article.

If you’re looking for a travel kennel for your dog that will fit most vehicles, the Enventur could be for you.

The Enventur is ultra-durable, considers pet comfort with angled walls and a cushioned base, uses waterproof materials, is puncture-resistant, and includes ventilated windows.

Unlike some cheap travel crates that are awkward to collapse and store away, I found the Enventur simple to inflate, reasonably easy to deflate, and folds flat for easy storage.

Overall, it’s a comfortable travel crate that meets safety standards, so perfect for dog owners who want a strong, versatile travel kennel to take on the road.
