Are you ready to discover my fussy pup’s favorite dog food?
We’ve put together a list of our Klee Kai’s favorite dog food brands based on purchasing and reviewing lots of different companies over the past seven years.
We’ll also share where you can place an order if you’d like to give any of the brands a try, plus how to make a saving of up to 50% on your first order.
So with the introduction out of the way, let’s dive straight in!
Best Overall: Sundays Food For Dogs

Sundays offer air-dried dog food that is made using human-grade ingredients in recipes formulated by vets. They offer three recipes: beef, chicken and turkey.
Once you fill out their sign-up questionnaire, your Sunday box will be shipped directly to your door. They use a resealable bag that lasts up to seven weeks once opened.
Did my dogs like Sundays? You bet. Copper and Skye were Sundays obsessed. It has a high meat content of 90%, which appeared to entice them to the bowl every mealtime.
Sundays has a treat-like texture. I’m convinced Copper and Skye thought they were getting treats rather than their regular dog food meals.
I liked that Sundays could be kept in the cupboard. Typically, we’ve tried a lot of fresh dog food, which my Klee Kai love but takes up room in the fridge and freezer.
Sundays is hassle-free. I don’t have to mess around with half-opened meal packets or make sure I’ve got a pouch defrosted.
I paid $138 to feed Sundays to Copper and Skye on a monthly basis. If you’d like to try Sundays, you can save 50% on your first order when you click here or the button below.
Best Raw: We Feed Raw

We Feed Raw have created a range of raw dog food that Copper and Skye loved. They only use real ingredients, such as USDA human-grade meats, in recipes formulated by veterinary nutritionists.
We Feed Raw has a great range of recipes: beef, chicken, duck, lamb, turkey, and venison. They’ll tailor your dog’s meals to meet their needs based on your answers in their sign-up questionnaire.
Did Copper and Skye like their raw food? It’s a resounding yes. They were obsessed with We Feed Raw meals.
I’ve never seen Skye show so much mealtime excitement. She would come over whenever I went near the freezer, hoping to see We Feed Raw packets. She’d run rings around me in excitement for her raw diet.
What I liked most about We Feed Raw was how much my dogs loved their food. They continue to show unprecedented mealtime excitement for We Feed Raw.
I paid $171 to feed We Feed Raw to my Klee Kai on a monthly basis. If you’d like to place an order, you can save 40% when you click here or the button below.
Best Fresh: The Farmer’s Dog

The Farmer’s Dog have created a range of fresh frozen meals. They use human-grade ingredients in recipes that are cooked at low temperatures to lock in flavor and nutritional goodness.
The Farmer’s Dog offer four recipes – beef, chicken, pork and turkey. You’ll need freezer space to store The Farmer’s Dog and keep a couple of defrosted meal pouches in your fridge.
Did my mini huskies like their food? Skye and Copper love the fresh food format, so I wasn’t surprised to see them enjoy The Farmer’s Dog. They showed a lot of mealtime excitement, and they would finish their respective portions without delay.
Skye and Copper loved the beef, chicken and pork recipes. They weren’t fans of the turkey recipe (although it looks the most appealing!).
What I really liked about The Farmer’s Dog is their customization and portion guidelines. They labeled Copper and Skye’s meals. No other fresh dog food brand did this (Ollie, Nom Nom, Spot & Tango, etc).
They provide a useful portion guideline on the front of each meal pouch to show exactly how much to feed at mealtime. I appreciated this helpful guide!
I had to pay nearly $190 a month to feed The Farmer’s Dog to Copper and Skye. However, this was almost $100 cheaper than Nom Nom and Ollie per month.

Best Kibble: UnKibble

UnKibble is a dry dog food range created by Spot and Tango. They use human-grade ingredients in their recipes. You’ll only find 12 ingredients in each UnKibble recipe. They offer Cod + Salmon, Beef + Barley, Chicken + Brown Rice, and Turkey + Sweet Potato.
The brand have a transparent approach, clearly listing each ingredient on the front of your UnKibble bag. So you’re reminded every mealtime of the clean ingredients.
It’s customized to your pup’s needs. Based on my answers in their sign-up questionnaire, I got a unique scooper for Skye and for Copper.
Did Copper and Skye like UnKibble? They were fans of UnKibble, which surprised me initially because they usually prefer to eat fresh-frozen meals.
I will say if you’ve got a picky eater like me, I’d recommend trying to beef or chicken recipe. I found Copper and Skye loved these recipes.
UnKibble stood out for a couple of reasons from my perspective. I appreciated the transparency of the brand. They’re clearly proud of their ingredients because you can find each ingredient displayed in bold font on the front of each bag.
Spot and Tango sent a custom scooper for both Copper and Skye. I liked that the brand sent individual scoopers to help my Klee Kai meet their weight goals.
I had to pay $140 to receive a month’s supply of UnKibble for my dogs. To save 50% on your first order, use code “LIFEK50” and click here or the button below.
Best Offers: Ollie

If you’re looking to get extra value for your money, and that’s your primary concern, you may want to give Ollie dog food a try.
We’ve found that Ollie typically have the most-enticing sign-up offers, whether that’s 60% off your first order or a free giveaway.
For example, they’ve run a couple of campaigns in 2025 where they offered new customers free ice cream which is certainly a sweetener.
Ollie had a collaboration with Fi dog collar where new sign-ups could avail of the tracker (it didn’t come with a free membership, though).
Copper and Skye had a mixed reaction to Ollie’s dog food. They liked some recipes, but my Alaskan Klee Kai turned their noses up at some others.
I wanted to include Ollie in this article because I know it’s important to some pet parents to get maximum value for money, especially seeing as pet food subscriptions are expensive!
Best Flexibility: The Pets Table

I’ve added The Pets Table to my list because they provide the greatest range of subscription options for dog owners who care about flexibility.
The Pets Table offer a range of fresh recipes as well as air-dried recipes. So you can enjoy the best of both worlds if you want to combine these formats.
In doing so, The Pets Table cater to pet owners with different sizes budgets and different preferences in terms of pet food format.
When testing out their subscriptions, we found their air-dried dog food to be quite affordable compared to other dry dog food brands. Their fresh food was on the pricier side.
Having said that, The Pets Table offer 50% off your first box and 20% off your second box. Something to consider!
Wrapping Up

So there we have it!
These are my top four picks for Alaskan Klee Kai owners and dog parents in the US if you’ve got picky pups like me!
I’d try Sundays or We Feed Raw first if you’re new to all the brands, but I believe you won’t go wrong no matter which options you choose.
